What is a bowrider?
There are so many “classes” of boats these days. How do you know what you want? I want to play, not fish. I like to fish, but I want a boat I can take the family on and play around. Well, my friend, you need a bowrider!
Wikipedia tells us the definition of a bowrider is, “A bow rider or bowrider is a type of boat which has a seating area in the bow, the forward part of the ship. Bow riders are generally designed for recreational use such as day cruising or water skiing, and they come in a variety of styles from luxurious to basic.”
What kinds of boat brands sell bowriders? Well of course I am going to only tell you about the awesome, award winning brands Sunrise Marine carries. Chaparral Boats is still the market leader in the bowrider class. They have been in business for over 50 years, and have never changed hands. The original pair still run Chaparral, Buck Pegg and Jim Lane. These gentlemen are legendary in the boating world. We are lucky to have Chaparral as one of our brands.
