What’s all this buzz about Robalo Boats?
The Emerald Coast (Pensacola to Panama City) is known for great fishing and water recreation. The latest numbers of boat sales certainly support that statement. What is interesting is which brands gained buyers and which brands did not. One of the leaders was Robalo Boats. Robalo is the sister company of the most popular stern drive boat builder in the world, Chaparral. That explains a lot.
Just 3 years ago, in 2011, there was only 1 new Robalo boat sold on the Emerald Coast. The following year, Sunrise Marine sold 12, a 1100% increase. Last year Sunrise Marine sold 26 which is 116.66% growth. For 2014, Sunrise Marine sold 37, which is 42.30% growth!
What is really interesting about these numbers is the fact that all of the boat dealers on the Emerald Coast sold exactly the same number of boats as in 2013, 365 units. Some brands that sold well in the past, were down as much as 47.36%. That again shows Robalo is stealing market share from other more veteran brands.
What does this tell you? Well, it tells me that the word is out and Robalo is that “word.” No other fishing boat builder can match Robalo’s innovation and new efforts. In just the last 2 years they have introduced six new boats! On top of that, they introduced the “No Haggle Reel Deal” pricing plan.
Why is everyone talking about Robalo Boats? Robalo is setting the pace with an innovative line of multi-purpose boats that satisfy the family and fisherman alike. Versatility is the name of the game with Robalo. Fish one day, tear it up on your wakeboard the next.
Robalo offers a complete line of Center Console, Dual Console, Walkaround, as well as their new line of Bay Boats, the Cayman series.
Robalo Boats have Hydro Lift deep vee hull design that is a performance breakthrough, and sets them apart from their competition. This makes for a stable, dry ride. They also have a Kevlar reinforced hull, and tournament quality live wells, rod storage, and more. Add the fantastic upolstery that Chaparral is known for, and you have a great boat for a great price.
Chaparral and Robalo Boats are (NYSE:MPX) headquarters in Nashville, Georgia, you’ll see 2nd- and 3rd-generation boat builders raised on the company’s time honored tradition working side-by-side with 20 and 30 year employees. Sharing many years of boat-building knowledge and experience with younger boat builders is essential in delivering quality product. This tradition, of the company’s more than 500 employees has helped shape Chaparral and Robalo Boats into one of the largest and most respected boat builders in the world.
